A Veteran Haven
Supporting Veterans Through Wild Horses
Horse Therapy
Our equine program will offer a range of experiences, from horse meditation for grounding and relaxation to hands-on lessons in horse care and training. As veterans progress, they can enjoy rides near Thomas Hill Lake, providing a sense of freedom and adventure.
Our Equine program is still in beginning stages! |
Outdoors
The Outdoors includes hunting, fishing, and kayaking, giving veterans a chance to experience the peace and challenge of the wild. We are working toward hosting annual fishing tournaments and securing a program boat to take veterans out on the water year-round. Whether casting a line, paddling across Thomas Hill Lake, or tracking game, our outdoor experiences are designed to foster camaraderie, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Farming
Our farming program gives veterans a hands-on connection to the land while fostering self-sufficiency. We’re raising pigs and sheep, with select hogs contributing to community cookouts and fundraisers to support our mission. Veterans who take part in caring for the animals will have the opportunity to gain valuable farming experience, with the chance to start their own herd with a gilt. Through this program, participants develop practical skills, build confidence, and experience the rewards of working with livestock. |
Garden
Our one-acre garden is dedicated to growing fresh vegetables and herbs while providing veterans with hands-on experience. Volunteers who help tend the garden will have the opportunity to take home a portion of the harvest, ensuring they benefit directly from their hard work. The remaining produce will be donated to veteran homes whenever possible or sold to support our mission.
